Cat6 cables provide a low crosstalk, and a high signal-to-noise frequency. It is a standardized cable for Gigabit Ethernet along with other networks. It is suitable for a 10GBASE-T and are also backwards compatible, meaning, newer Cat6 cables can be used with older Cat5E equipment. We install Cat6 cable and fiber in conjunction with switches and network servers.
Cat5E cables support up to 1000BASE-T and are primarily used for computer networks such as Ethernet.
